2014 LJ Hooker Reg Cowden Memorial Sports Star of the Year Awards Presentation

Olympian, Suzy Balogh will be this year’s guest presenter for the presentation of the 2014 LJ Hooker Reg Cowden Memorial Sports Star of the Year Awards.

The Mayor of Lithgow Maree Statham said “Preparations for the Awards night have been finalised, with the presentation to be held in the Millennium Room of the Lithgow & District Workmen’s Club on Friday, 24th July 2015, commencing at 6.30pm.”

“It is an honour for Council to announce that the guest presenter for the evening will be Olympian Suzy Balogh, who is sure to have some inspiring and interesting sporting stories to share”.

“Presentation of awards for the 2014 LJ Hooker Reg Cowden Memorial Sports Star of the Year to be announced on at the gala evening include the Junior and Senior Outstanding Team Achievements of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Official of the Year, International Sports Star of the Year, Eric Arnold Memorial Trophy, Encouragement Award, Mac Scott Memorial Trophy and Whitty Family Perpetual Trophy, and culminate with the announcement of the Junior and Senior Sports Stars of the Year” said Mayor Statham.

Tickets for the event are still on sale for $20.00 per adult and $10.00 per child, and can be purchased from Council’s Customer Service Division between 8.30am and 4.00pm until Friday, 10th July 2015.  Further information can be obtained by contacting Council’s Customer Service Department, on (02) 6354 9999 or email council@lithgow.nsw.gov.au during business hours.

Nominations are still being accepted for the for the Junior and Senior Sports Star of the Year Awards for sporting achievements during June 2015, and will close on 7th July 2015.
