Bookings are being taken for the next bulky waste collection conducted by Lithgow City Council.
Lithgow Council’s free bulky waste pickup service is next scheduled for the week commencing 9 March 2015. This service allows for larger waste materials to be collected that would be too large for the normal garbage service.
Lithgow Mayor, Councillor Maree Statham said today, “Bookings are now being taken for the next service. Please call Council’s customer service staff or register on Council’s website before the close of business on Friday 6 March 2015 and place your items at the kerbside on the evening before 9 March 2015.”
Bulky items will be collected providing they can be picked up by two men and any cases, boxes, cartons etc should be securely tied. No liquid or chemical items will be collected, nor will any items requiring the use of a shovel.
Anyone who wishes to register for this service should contact Council’s Customer Service Office on 6354 9999 or, alternatively they may register on Council’s website www.council.lithgow.com. Then on Sunday 8th March 2015 leave their waste adjacent to where they would normally place their garbage bin for pickup.
Council promotes the provision of clean up services to the local community to assist in the protection of our local environment as highlighted in the Community Strategic Plan 2026.
