Local Government, businesses and service clubs in NSW are being encouraged to participate in the ‘Rave for Cancer’ challenge this coming Friday 25th September to raise much needed funds for Cancer Clinical Drug Trials.
Lithgow City Council will be participating in the ‘Rave for Cancer’ challenge to raise much needed funds for Cancer Clinical Drug Trials. The challenge is set to colour or shave and dare to be different, so that funds can be raised for regional cancer patients to access vital drugs at Central West Cancer Care Centre.
“This is a very worthy cause and one that I support 110%, it is important to give cancer patients every possible opportunity to fight this terrible disease” said Lithgow City Council Mayor, Councillor Maree Statham.
“Clinical trials provide opportunities for patients to extend and enhance their life” said Mayor Statham. “This wonderful cause has already raised an impressive $260,000”.
Donations may be made online by accessing www.ccwest.org.au and ‘Give Now’ or by phoning Western Care Lodge on 6391 2300 for Credit card donations.
Postal Donations of Cheques can be made payable to: Cancer Care Western NSW and sent to PO Box 2800 Orange NSW 2800. Please enclose your full details if paying by cheque to receive your receipt, including phone and address.
