Construction works has commenced on the installation of a new automated public toilet in Cook Plaza.
Lithgow Mayor, Councillor Maree Statham said today “It’s good to see that work has now commenced on the site for the new public toilet facility in Cook Plaza. Council has awarded the project to Exeloo, which is a company who specialise in the installation of automated self cleansing public toilet facilities. Some of the work will also be carried out by Council staff. The toilet in the plaza is scheduled for completion by the end of April.”
“Following completion of the Cook Plaza facility, work will commence on the installation of a smaller toilet adjacent to the Eskbank Street Taxi Rank. This should be completed by the end of May” added the Mayor.
The new facilities will be fully compliant for disabled persons which continues Council’s program of improvements highlighted through its Disability Action Plan.
