The installation of the new public toilets in the Lithgow CBD is now complete with both new Cook Street Plaza and Eskbank Street toilet facilities now up and running.
The two new state of the art public toilets installed in Cook Plaza and Eskbank Street are now fully functional and open to the public. Both facilities feature automatic doors and the Cook Street Plaza facility is also self cleansing.
Lithgow Mayor, Councillor Maree Statham said today “The new public toilets provide the Lithgow CBD with facilities that are modern and fully accessible for disabled persons as well as providing baby changing facilities. The final external finish for both facilities is currently being arranged with a cutting-edge finish worthy of the buildings modern design planned.”
Newly constructed public toilet facilities have also now opened at Capertee.
“The construction of three new public toilet facilities in the last year has clearly shown Council’s commitment to providing quality facilities to both the local community and visitors to our area” concluded the Mayor.
Providing community buildings and structures that meet the needs of the community forms part of the Developing Built Environment strategies in the Lithgow Community Strategic Plan 2026.
