Facelift for Kremer Park Kiosk

The Kiosk at Kremer Park is to receive a facelift with the installation of a new roof, fascias and guttering.

Refurbishment works will commence shortly and will include the replacement of the old corrugated iron roof with new colourbond sheeting, with matching colourbond guttering and new fascias on all sides.

“Kremer Park is used by junior and senior sporting groups and also schools for sports days and carnivals and this much needed upgrade of the existing facility will provide many benefits to the community of Portland and beyond” said Lithgow City Mayor, Councillor Maree Statham.

Further work which will see the kiosk completely renovated with the addition of a more modern sliding shutter to replace the old shutters and replacement of the wall cladding will be carried out in the new financial year.

“Stage One of the refurbishment consisted of the removal and replacement of the bench tops, the removal of the old centre island fridge and replacement with a central serving bench with appropriate shelving, repainting of the interior, removal of old appliances, a new entrance door and a security screen door. The Stage Two works will further enhance the refurbishment already carried out of the interior of the kiosk.” concluded Mayor Statham.

Developing recreational facilities that will meet the needs of the community now and into the future is a part of Councils Developing Our Built Environment Strategy in the Community Strategic Plan 2026.
