Come down to the Animal Shelter on Saturday 7 April 2018 for FREE micro-chipping of your dog or cat.
“This day is possible through funding from the NSW Government, and I urge local residents to take advantage of this free service. No need to book, just turn up between 9am – 12 noon on Saturday 7 April 2018” said Lithgow City Council Mayor, Councillor Stephen Lesslie.
Micro-chipping is important for lifetime traceability. The microchip means that if your cat or dog goes missing, an authorised person can identify your animal.
Puppies and kittens must be 12 weeks of age or older. Puppies and kittens under the age of 6 months must present with a copy of their health passport or immunization certificates to be eligible for this service. Litters are not accepted under this program, only individual animals. Rangers appreciate your patience as there may be short waiting times.
