Homework Zone Resumes at Lithgow Library Learning Centre

Homework Zone returned to Lithgow Library Learning Centre on Monday 2 February 2015 to assist all school age children with their homework.

Whatever it may be, essays, projects, reading or research, qualified teacher Maryanne will guide the children through the process and encourage them to pick-up that pen, type up that report, research their assignment or even use a glue pot or microscope, to get through their homework.

This free homework help service is open in the Library study room each Monday through to Thursday during school term, from 3.30pm to 5.30pm. Maryanne has a wealth of experience and is an imaginative and thorough teacher who provides after school assistance to students with their school work such as reading support, homework assistance or assignments

Lithgow City Council Mayor Maree Statham said “If my daughter were still at school and needed help with her homework, I would certainly use this free outstanding service that is provided by our Library”.

For more information on any of the free services for children that the Library provides please contact Lithgow Library Learning Centre or Portland and Wallerawang Branch Libraries.

Providing a range of quality exhibitions and community programs that offer educational and social opportunities for all members of the community is part of Council’s Caring for the Community Strategy in the Community Strategic Plan 2026.
