Lithgow City Council and NSW Dept. of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) are to survey Lithgow Businesses as part of the development of the Lithgow Regional Economic Development Strategy.
“The survey follows recent discussions between DPC and Lithgow Council resulting in Lithgow being approved as a stand alone “Functional Economic Region” (FER) when such regions are normally an amalgamation of neighbouring Local Government areas” said Lithgow Council General Manager Graeme Faulkner.
“Lithgow has unique funding potential for its regional economic strategy because it is now stand alone, and we are asking all businesses and any other interested parties in the Lithgow LGA to participate in the survey via the link provided by Council in media releases, emails and written correspondence” said Mr Faulkner.

Representatives from the DPC will be discussing the Lithgow Regional Economic Strategy with Council next week.
“We are hopeful that businesses and other interested parties will respond to the survey as quickly as possible to assist the DPC and Council with the disciplined time frame set for analysis of the Lithgow area” said the General Manager.
