LJ Hooker Reg Cowden Memorial Sports Star of the Year Awards – April 2015 Winners

The winners of the LJ Hooker Reg Cowden Memorial Sports Star of the Year Awards for the month of April 2015 have been announced by Lithgow City Council.

Mayor of Lithgow, Councillor Maree Statham said “The Senior Award for April 2015 was won by Nigel Kable (Campdraft).”

“Nigel blitzed the opposition with his horse Chevin Ivory in every section to take out the world champion campdraft title at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. On his way to the world championship he had taken out three other trophies including the highest aggregate cup and the highest score in any session. It’s not the first time Nigel has been on the winning lists but the latest title caps off a truly impressive career.”

“There were no Junior Award nominations for the month of April 2015 received.”

“Council extends its congratulations to Nigel on his achievements, and further encourages the community and local sporting organisations to submit nominations for these awards” added Councillor Statham.

Nominations for outstanding sporting achievements in May 2015 will be accepted by Lithgow City Council until 7th June 2015.  Nomination forms can be obtained by contacting Council’s Customer Service Department on (02) 6354 9999, or can be downloaded from council’s website http://council.lithgow.com/sports-star-awards/
