Centroc Councils appoint Country Energy

The sixteen Councils of Centroc have appointed Country Energy as their electricity provider for the next 3 years with an option for a 3 year extension.

Country Energy, along with three other companies, tendered for the contract. After a rigorous selection process Country Energy was awarded the contract.

Councils in the region are major consumers of electricity, particularly those operating Water Treatment and Sewerage plants.

Chair of Centroc, Councillor Neville Castle said “Country Energy has been a long term supplier of electricity to councils within the Centroc region, and it was their history of reliability along with their pricing that contributed to them being awarded the contract. They are a provider we can rely on.”

Mr Chas McPhail, Country Energy’s General Manager, Central Western said, “Country Energy is very pleased to have been selected as the electricity provider for Centroc Councils. We have a long standing successful relationship with these (Centroc) councils and look forward to supporting them into the future”.

Country Energy is Australia’s largest electricity network covering 95% of New South Wales.
