Community ‘Drop-In’ Workshop To Be Held For Retail Strategy

On Tuesday 8 December community members and shoppers are invited to drop into the Lithgow Library and provide input into the Business and Retail Strategy for Lithgow Local Government Area.

Shopper surveys have already been completed in Lithgow, Portland and Wallerawang.

“The participation and contribution of the community regarding these shopper surveys has been outstanding. Around 280 shoppers participated and this has provided Council with a significant amount of information to help in this important project,” said Mayor Neville Castle.

“The community ‘drop-in’ will allow members of the community to submit their own personal ideas as to what they would like to see changed/improved regarding retail in Lithgow, Portland and Wallerawang”, continued the Mayor.

Workshop details are as follows:

            Date: Tuesday  8 December
            Venue: Lithgow Library, Main Street
            Time: 4pm – 6pm

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the community for their ongoing support. We hope the community will again support this initiative by sparing a few minutes to provide their own practical suggestions for this Business and Retail Strategy’, concluded the Mayor.
