Mother’s Day Music in the Gardens at Eskbank House

This Mother’s Day, Eskbank House and the Lithgow Mitchell Conservatorium are coming together to bring mothers and their families a classical concert in the gardens at Eskbank House.

“What a wonderful way to celebrate Mother’s Day, listening to local young talent while soaking up the serene atmosphere of the gardens of Eskbank House,” said Lithgow City Council Mayor Maree Statham. “Bring along your own picnic or pick up something from one of our local cafes or restaurants.”

The two hour concert will feature Callum Woodrow on xylophone, Patrick Woodrow on piano, Veronica Wessell on violin and Adrian Ma playing the piano and clarinet. While most of the selection will be classical music, the mix of instruments and musicians means we are assured of a beautiful and eclectic concert.  All of the musicians are current scholarship holders at the Conservatorium.

Eskbank House will provide tables, chairs and picnic blankets under the trees for visitors. Everyone is encouraged to bring a picnic to enjoy, or visitors can sip a free complimentary tea and coffee. There is plenty of room for young ones to run around and our locomotive Possum to play on. All in all a wonderful outing for the whole family.

If the weather is wet the picnic will be moved inside so visitors can experience the fabulous sound of the Courtyard Gallery.

Museum entry fees apply.
