Why not take a drive and have a look at the new Lithgow Billboards that have been replaced at River Lett Hill Hartley and Mt Lambie.
Following the highly popular photo competition ran by Lithgow City Council, the final two photos were selected by the public. The winners were announced at the end of 2014 with the winning photos being Blast Furnace Park and Lake Lyell which have now been installed.
”It has been a long time coming but Council is proud to announce that the billboards located on two entries into the Lithgow Area have now been updated” said Lithgow City Council Mayor Maree Statham “I think it was a pleasing result to have the Lithgow Community vote for their favorite images.”
The Billboards have now been installed on the pre-existing sites at the top of River Lett Hill westbound and on the eastern slopes of Mount Lambie eastbound, both on the Great Western Highway. The selected images will provide a stunning snapshot of what the Lithgow Tourism area has to offer and will encourage visitors to get out and explore and discover everything the Lithgow area has to offer.
Creating a strong tourism industry that maximises benefits from visitors to the LGA is a part of Council’s strategy to Strengthen our Economy in the Community Strategic Plan 2026.
