Playground Equipment at Bowen Vista Estate

New playground equipment at Bowen Vista Estate, South Bowenfels, has been installed today.

“The playground equipment will be a welcome addition to families in the Bowen Vista Estate” said Lithgow City Council Mayor, Councillor Maree Statham. “The $45,000 project is an innovative play space which will surely prove to be very popular with the younger residents of Lithgow and jointly funded by a Planning Agreement from the subdivision and Council’s capital works budget.”

“The new equipment will consist of a net climber, a double infant and senior swing, a basket swing, a traditional climbing unit with double slide attached and will be designed and installed by Moduplay Commercial Systems.”

“This much needed addition to the area will bring joy to children and families in the Bowen Vista Estate and beyond. It is important to provide our local children with a safe and fun environment to play, enjoy the outdoors, build friendships and be children. Improving playgrounds, sports grounds, parks and open space is a key priority for Council. These works represent Council’s commitment to further improving local infrastructure now and into the future” concluded Mayor Statham.

Working together to support, celebrate and expand the social and cultural diversity of our community whilst promoting healthy, active lifestyles in a safe environment and ensuring sustainable and planned growth through the provision of effective public and private transport options and suitable entertainment and recreational facilities to enhance the lifestyle choices of the community are is a part of Council’s strategy to Care for our Community in the Community Strategic Plan 2026.
