Primary By Design Exhibition at Cullen Bullen Public School

Cullen Bullen Public School and Eskbank House and Museum have teamed up to present another Primary By Design Exhibition which will run from 3 to 20 September 2015 in the Courtyard Gallery of Eskbank House & Museum.

“Every year the Primary By Design Exhibition at Eskbank House presents us with an outstanding selection of art work by students in the Lithgow area,” said Lithgow City Council Mayor Maree Statham. “It is a pleasure to have one of our smaller schools involved this year so congratulations to Cullen Bullen Public School for an unusual and innovative exhibition.”

The students of Cullen Bullen Public School decided to take their art a little further than usual for this exhibition. After taking photos of their surroundings,  they produced secondary art works by reinterpreting the images in other mediums. Their exhibition presents these artworks and showcases the pride they have in their community.

The exhibition will run from 3-20 September 2015 in the Courtyard Gallery of Eskbank House. There will be an official opening at 11.00am Friday 4 September with the community and family and friends of the artists invited to come along.

Every year the team at Eskbank House invites local primary schools to hold an exhibition of their art in the Courtyard Gallery. The project aims to give primary students an opportunity to put together a full exhibition and see it hung in a professional gallery.

Providing a range of programs celebrating the cultural diversity and rich heritage of our local government area is part of Council’s Caring for our Community strategies in the Community Strategic Plan 2026.
