General Manager, Mr Graeme Faulkner

Graeme joined Lithgow City Council as the General Manager at the end of May 2017.  Graeme has extensive experience in Local Government, including General Manager roles at Bega, Byron Bay, Hawkesbury Council and Norfolk Island.  

Director Economic Development and Environment, Mr Andrew Muir

Andrew Muir commenced his career in Local Government at the then Greater Lithgow City Council in 1983. He was appointed to the position Group Manager Regional Services in 2006, and following a restructure in 2011, the role became that of Group Manager Environment and Development.

Director Operations, Mr Iain Stewart

Iain Stewart began his career with the Dept of Public Works and moved into Local Government in 1974 as the assistant engineer for Lithgow City Council. Since that time he has held many positions with Lithgow City Council, including 3 years as General Manager. He has also been a consultant for the North Coast group of Councils regarding resource sharing.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Roads including works and road safety
  • Parks and Gardens
  • Water
  • Wastewater and Sewage
  • Cemeteries
Chief Financial and Information Officer,  Ross Gurney

Ross commenced as Chief Finance and Information Officer in November 2017. Prior to commencing at Lithgow City Council,  Ross worked in senior Finance roles at Blue Mountains City Council and previously as a Chief Financial Officer in the private sector. Mr Gurney is a fellow of CPA Australia.
