In conjunction with programs for school age children, programs for babies from 6 months of age are now being offered at the Lithgow Aquatic Centre.
Lessons will commence on 13th July 2015 and will coincide with the NSW school terms, with morning and afternoon sessions on offer.
“Classes are filling up fast with over 80 registrations to date & Council urges parents to register their children in Council’s vital swimming and water safety skills programs. Council hopes to expand and offer lessons to all ages and abilities in the near future” said Lithgow City Council Mayor, Councillor Maree Statham.
Council’s Austswim accredited instructors are highly trained to provide each student with the very best in aquatic education and are dedicated to developing skills and confidence in a positive and fun learning environment.
“Registrations are still being taken at the Lithgow Indoor Aquatic Centre for Term 3 and assessments will be continuing during June 2015” concluded Mayor Statham.
Developing and promoting activities for children and families in the Local Government Area is part of Council’s Family Friendly Community Strategy in the Community Strategic Plan 2026.
