As part of the Hartley Valley to Forty Bends road improvement program, the intersection of Browns Gap Road and Great Western Highway will be closed for up to six weeks.
Residents are advised that there is to be a planned closure of the intersection of Browns Gap Road and Great Western Highway. This closure will be for the purpose of ensuring the safety of motorists and workers while a new road surface across the intersection is constructed. This closure will commence Sunday 23rd August 2015 and continue, 24 hours a day for six weeks, weather permitting.
Work will be carried out in this area between Monday and Friday from 7AM to 6PM and Saturday from 8AM to 1PM. There will also be some night work as part of the road closure between 7PM and 6AM. Local residents will be notified in advance of any imminent night works. Every effort will be made to minimise impacts, noise and otherwise, on local residents.
A detour will be in place via Mid Hartley Road during this work. Motorists will not be able to enter or exit Browns Gap Road at the Great Western Highway intersection during the closure. Access for residents on Browns Gap Road between Fields Road and the Great Western Highway will be via Mid Hartley Road.
