The Lithgow Youth Awards 2019 are open to all young people aged 12-25 years who live, work, or study in the Lithgow Local Government Area. These awards seek to recognise the achievements of young people and the valuable contribution they make to the local community. Young people can be nominated or self-nominate for any of the below categories:
- Community Spirit Award
- Contribution to the Creative and Performing Arts
- Contribution to Sports
- Young Employee of the Year
Winners of each category will receive an award and a gift card prize of $100.

Community Spirit Award
This award recognises a young person who has actively participated in their community through volunteering, supporting events or advocating for a community issue.
Contribution to the Creative and Performing Arts
This award recognises a young person who significantly contributes to the Creative and Performing arts. They may not necessarily be the leading actor but could be for example the Lighting/Sound Tech, Costume creator, Director or member of band.
Contribution to Sports
This award recognises the sports supporters who keep sport active in our community such as youth umpires, referees, officiates, runs the canteen, coaches juniors etc.
Employee of the Year Award
This award recognises the outstanding contributions of a young person to their place of work and chosen industry.

Nominees will be notified by Thursday 28th of February as to their successful nomination.
