Vampire Workshops at Eskbank House

Vampires, fangs and capes will be sizzling at the Eskbank House and Museum Vampire Scarecrow  and Create a Vampire workshops over the September school holidays.

“These creative workshops offer an innovative way for the youth of Lithgow to get into the spirit of Halloween and a fabulous way to learn new skills,” said Lithgow City Council Mayor Maree Statham.

Primary school children are invited to join Ludwina Roebuck from 10.00am – 12.00 pm on Thursday 24 September 2015 in the gardens at Eskbank House to create Vampire Scarecrows for the 2015 Lithgow Halloween Festival. With fangs, decorations and flowing capes, the scarecrows will feature in the Lithgow Halloween Festival on 31 October 2015.

For the those aged 12 to 25 years, the team at Eskbank House and Museum have designed the Create a Vampire Project. From 9.00am – 4.00pm on Saturday 3 October 2015 you can create a personalised vampire cloak with Bess Elwell-Cook and learn vampire make up, cat walk and drama skills with Catherine Lockley. You can then exhibit your new skills by modelling in the Eskbank Halloween Fashion Show on Friday 24 October and performing at the Lithgow Halloween Festival.

Both workshops are free, but places are limited so please book quickly.

Registration forms can be picked up at Lithgow, Wallerawang and Portland Libraries, Council’s Customer Service counter and Eskbank House and Museum, or downloaded at http://eskbank.lithgow.com/events/
