Then join the Youth Council!
Lithgow Youth Council works with Lithgow City Council, organisations and community groups to gain positive outcomes for local young people. By becoming a member of the Youth Council, you will develop leadership skills, become a voice for young people in the community and be involved in many youth and community events.
Lithgow Youth Council meets once a month to discuss youth issues, work on upcoming events for young people, and to develop forums to support young people to have a voice that is heard by their local community.
Youth Council is usually made up of about 12 young people aged between 12-24 years. If you are interested in having a say and making a difference in your community then please contact Council’s Community Development Officer on (02) 6354 9999 or via email council@lithgow.nsw.gov.au and express your interest in joining Youth Council.
