With these past 2 years of unseasonal weather, Lithgow Council was pleased to host a fantastic outdoor swimming season this summer.
After such a busy summer, it is quickly coming time to close the outdoor 50m Olympic pool and hydro-play pool. The outdoor pools will be closing on Sunday 2 April 2023, in line with the end of daylight-saving hours.
The Council and all the staff at the J M Robson Aquatic Centre thank all those who visited the centre these past six months, whether it was for recreational swimming, classes, school carnivals, or just to watch their children and grandchildren play.
The Indoor centre will continue to operate as normal and will offer regular Aqua Aerobics and Learn to Swim classes throughout the winter season. Over Easter though, there will be a short period of interruption to accommodate public holidays. Operating hours through this period will be:
- Good Friday – 7 April 2023 – Closed
- Easter Saturday – 8 April 2023 – 8am-4pm
- Easter Sunday – 9 April 2023 – Closed
- Easter Monday – 10 April 2023 – 8am-4pm
This upcoming season, there will be some changes to the Aqua Aerobics timetable. Commencing Monday 20 March 2023, Aqua Aerobics classes will be offered on the following days and times:
- Monday – 7am
- Wednesday – 7am
- Friday – 7am and 9:30am
