DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL – DA145/25 – ENVIRONMENTAL FACILITY (METEOROLOGICAL MONITORING MAST) – LOT 117 DP 755794 – 2281 GREAT WESTERN HIGHWAY MOUNT LAMBIE NSW 2790

Council is in receipt of a development application to erect a Meteorological Monitoring Mast at Lot 117 DP 755794, 2281 Great Western Highway MOUNT LAMBIE NSW 2790.

The application and plans are available for public inspection at Council’s Development Department, in the Council Administration Centre, 180 Mort Street, Lithgow, free of charge, during office hours for a period of 28 days until 14 November 2025.

During this period any person may inspect the plans and make a written submission on the proposal quoting Council’s file reference, Development Application No.DA145/25.  All submissions received during this period will be taken into consideration prior to Council’s determination of the application.

Mount Lambie Wind Farm – State Significant Development

Alinta’s future Mount Lambie wind farm proposal is not part of this application.  The wind farm proposal is State Significant Development and will be assessed and determined by the NSW Department of Planning, not by Council.

The planner dealing with this application is Lauren Stevens who can be contacted on 63549999 Monday to Friday between 8:30am-4:00pm. If Lauren is unavailable an Officer from the Development Assessment Team will be able to assist.

Submissions

Anyone can make a submission regarding the application.  Submissions must be:

  • in writing
  • marked DA145/25
  • sent to Council’s email – council@lithgow.nsw.gov.au OR posted/delivered to Council’s Administration Building at 180 Mort Street, Lithgow
  • received by Council by no later than 4pm on 14 November 2025.
