Green Waste Reminder

Residents are reminded to take advantage of Lithgow Council’s final green waste collection of 2015 and clean up their gardens before Christmas.

Lithgow Council’s final green waste collection service of 2015 will take place in the week commencing 7 December 2015 with bookings still being taken.

Lithgow City Council Mayor, Councillor Maree Statham said today “Residents just have to register and then leave any green waste at the kerbside near where they would normally place their garbage bin the night before Monday 7 December 2015.”

There are some rules to participate.

  • Garden pruning’s must be no longer than 2 metres and not thicker than 200 mm, tied in bundles
  • Lawn clippings and leaves must be placed in a durable container, cardboard box or hessian/plastic bag
  • A weight limit of 16 kilograms for each bundle or box applies
  • A quantity of one cubic metre, which is equivalent to about 4 wheelie bins, is allowed per premises
