New Public Toilets for Lithgow CBD

The installation of new public toilets in the Lithgow CBD is set to start over the coming months.

At its last Ordinary meeting, Lithgow Council approved development applications for the installation of new public toilets in the Lithgow CBD. The automated self cleaning toilet facilities are to be installed at Cook Street Plaza and the Eskbank Street Taxi Rank.

“The approval of these public toilets will result in the Lithgow CBD having facilities that are modern and fully accessible for persons with disabilities” said Lithgow City Council Mayor, Councillor Maree Statham.

“It is expected that the public toilets will be operational in June” added Mayor Statham.

Providing community buildings and structures that meet the needs of the community forms part of the Developing Built Environment strategies in the Lithgow Community Strategic Plan 2026.
