Council provides a generous rainwater tank rebate scheme to assist Lithgow Local Government Area residents to capture and store our most precious resource, water.
A rebate of $150 will be paid for tanks between 2,000 and 4,999 litres and $300 for tanks over 5,000 litres.
Mayor of Lithgow, Councillor Maree Statham said “Rainwater tanks not only helps the town water supply but also saves money on your water accounts.”
See Council’s Rainwater Tank Rebate Application form which is available on Council’s website at http://council.lithgow.com/forms-2/ or from Council’s Administration Centre for full terms & conditions.
“I am proud to announce that the rainwater tank rebate scheme which has been running since 2007 and assisted over 80 households with the cost of installing a rainwater tank will be continuing in 2016” added Councillor Statham.
Reducing water consumption in the Lithgow LGA is an aim of Council’s Enhancing our Natural Environment Strategy in the Community Strategic Plan 2026.
