DESCRIPTION:Lithgow City Council acknowledges the Traditional owners of this land\, the Wiradjuri people. \n The Lithgow Health Expo will take place on 6 March 2026 and aims to promote community health\, increase awareness of local services\, and provide valuable information for diverse people of all ages. \nThe Expo will bring together health and community services as well as special guests for an informative and engaging event. \nJoin us to learn more about your wellbeing and the services available to you locally! Connect with professionals from a wide range of health and community services including the Local Health District (LHD) and Primary Health Network (PHN). \nDate: Friday 6th March 2026\nTime 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM\nVenue: Lithgow Workies Club 3-7 Tank Street Lithgow\nAccessibility: Wheelchair accessible\, free parking available \n  \nSchedule Highlights-  Main Stage \n Session 1:  9am-11am\nWelcome and Acknowledgement\nLaunch of the Notre Dame Health of People in Lithgow Report: The report from the University of Notre Dame Australia provides a comprehensive profile of the health of the people of Lithgow.\nHear from a panel of experts.\nSpecial guest entertainers: The Free and Easy Band. \nSession 2:   11am-12:30pm\nService NSW: Deanna Goodsell from Service NSW will guide attendees through the range of services and resources with greater ease and confidence. \nPrimary Health Network: speakers from a range of services including \nAboriginal health checks\nDisaster preparedness\nIntergenerational project\nAdvanced care planning\nMental Health \nSession 3:   1pm-3pm\nDementia Australia: will share clear\, practical information about dementia\, available supports\, and local resources. Their presentation will highlight ways to access free education\, support and guidance for navigating the dementia journey with confidence.\nSeniors Rights Australia: Will highlight key rights\, available protections\, and where to go for help with issues such as aged care\, finances\, and elder abuse.\nSpecial guest: Abby Smith Sing-a-long \n  \nWell-being Room Schedule in the Waratah Room \n  \n10am Gentle Groove: A fun and inclusive movement session designed to help seniors improve mobility\, strength and wellbeing through gentle dance‑inspired movement. \n11am  Seated Yoga: a gentle and accessible form of yoga designed for people of all ages and mobility levels. \n1pm  Falls prevention workshop: An interactive workshop designed to help participants understand the risks of falls and learn practical strategies to stay safe at home and in the community. \n2pm Nutrition workshop: Practical guidance on healthy eating and making nutritious choices to support overall wellbeing.
