Geordie Street Rail Crossing Closure
When: Friday, 30th August, 6:00am – Monday, 2nd September, 6:00am
This closure is required by Sydney Trains who will be conducting essential upgrades to the signalling systems which will include the excavation of the road at the Geordie Street crossing.
Detour: From Great Western Highway & Cooerwull Road intersection via Main Street, Mort Street, and Bridge Street There will be access to the Great Western Highway from Cooerwull Road, but there may be delays as works occur.
Council Road Works Near Geordie Street Rail Crossing
In Addition to the level crossing closure, Lithgow Council will also be conducting road resealing works at this location around the same time.
When: Monday 2nd September until Wednesday 4th September, 7am to 5pm.
This work will occur alongside, but separate to, those organised by Sydney Trains. Council’s resealing works will be during the day,
Traffic control will be in place for the Council sealing works which may result in minor delays, but this road will be open to traffic for the period.
