On Tuesday 30 May the Mayor Maree Statham and Deputy Mayor Cassandra Coleman attended Lithgow High School for the Business Breakfast alongside Council staff who also attended the Try a Trade Day.

The day was a great opportunity for local students from year 9 to 12 to explore the diverse range of trades and positions within Council and to discuss potential career pathways with opportunities for work experience, traineeships, and apprenticeships.

“Investing in the city’s youth is crucial. That’s why events like Try a Trade Day are great ways for Council to showcase what opportunities and career pathways we can provide” said Mayor Maree Statham.
