Description of Development: Rehabilitation of the existing Bell Quarry pit with the final landform to be achieved via the importation of virgin excavated natural material (VENM), excavated natural material (ENM) and material that meets an exemption pursuant to clauses 91 and 92 of the Protection of the Environment Operations (Waste) Regulation 2014. The material will be sourced from earthworks projects across Sydney and the local regional area. The proposed development is defined as a Waste or Resource Management Facility.
The amended application and Supplementary Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) are available for public inspection at Council Administration Centre, 180 Mort Street, Lithgow, free of charge, during ordinary office hours, for 28 days, between 17 December 2021 and 8 February 2022. The period from 20 December 2021 to 10 January 2022, are not included in the 28-day exhibition period. The exhibition material can also be viewed on:
