The Lithgow Local Government Area has suffered 9 disasters in recent years and Council is conducting a range of resilience building initiatives to help increase community strength and preparedness.
One of these initiatives is assisting residents to better understand how to protect their homes from grass and bushfire, and therefore increase their overall safety. This workshop will help achieve those goals by offering community members the opportunity to attend a real-life property evaluation, planning, and demonstration workshop where it will be explained why particular equipment is required to protect that property from fire, what particular equipment would be required to, and how it should correctly be installed.
Experienced expert presenters will also answer questions from participants on what is being presented, as well as what may be required for the particular circumstances of their own properties.
