Proposed License of Community Land
At the ordinary meeting of Council on 27 November 2023 Council resolved to place the following proposed Licence Agreement on public exhibition:
| Premises: | Union Theatre, 67 Bridge St Lithgow (Lot 2 in DP 1077295) |
| Licensee: | Lithgow Musical Society Inc |
| License term: | 2 years + 1 year option |
| Permitted use: | Meetings, rehearsals, performances and minor scene fabrication work directly associated with the Licensee’s musical productions to be performed on the property. |
| License Fee: | On commencement the license fee is $3,328.47 plus GST per annum to be reviewed on 1 July each year by CPI |
Public exhibition period
The proposed License Agreement will be on public exhibition from Tuesday 5 December 2023 to Friday 12 January 2024 (39 days in total, to allow for public holidays and Christmas closure).

- Council Administration Centre, 180 Mort Street, Lithgow on weekdays from 8.30am to 4.00pm, excluding the Christmas closure period being 25 December 2023 to 5 January 2024
Submissions
Anyone can make a submission regarding the proposed License Agreement. Submissions must be:
- in writing
- marked “Submission – proposed License Agreement for use of Union Theatre”.
- sent to Council’s email – council@lithgow.nsw.gov.au OR posted/delivered to Council’s Administration Building at 180 Mort Street, Lithgow NSW 2790
- received by Council by no later than 4pm on Monday 15 January 2024.
