Lithgow City Council is pleased to announce that a new sauna has recently opened to the public at Lithgow’s JM Robson Aquatic Centre.

“Lithgow Council continues to review its services and make improvements for the benefit of the local community,” said Lithgow City Council’s Mayor, Councillor Maree Statham. “Recent surveys of users of the facility demonstrated that a sauna would be of great benefit to the local community.”

“It is exciting that this Council has been able to deliver on this request,” noted Mayor Statham. “The sauna is a welcome inclusion to the Centre, providing an additional facility for the public to utilise. Used responsibly, saunas are known for their various health benefits.”

The project was made possible by co-funding from the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund. This funding was also partially used to install the ground-mounted solar panels at the rear of the Centre last year.
