Lithgow City Council has commenced preparation for its 2024/25 Operational Plan, and we would like to know your ideas for projects and programs for the Lithgow LGA.
The Council is inviting residents and community groups to put forward proposals to be considered for inclusion in the draft Operational Plan. This can include new infrastructure projects, community activities/events, or ideas for improvements which will enhance the quality of life for all residents.
The annual Operational Plan sets out the projects and activities which Council commits to undertaking over the financial year and includes the budget, performance measures and timeframes to achieve this. You can view the current 2023/24 Operational Plan on Council’s website www.council.lithgow.com/council/ipr
Lithgow City Council encourages you to discuss your proposal with friends, family or community groups prior to submitting your idea. Please note, that while we encourage everyone to make a submission, this is not a voting process, submissions are considered in accordance with budget availability, staff capacity and value to the community. Multiple submissions for a project or program will be considered as one submission.
When making your submission you will be asked to provide the following information:
- Your name and contact details
- A brief description of your proposed project/activity.
- Where your proposed project/activity would occur (if applicable).
- Why you believe your proposed project/activity is important.
- What you believe the estimated cost is of your proposed project/activity.
All submissions will be considered, and you will be kept informed of the process and progress with your proposal as the 2024/25 Operational Plan is developed.
How do I make a submission?
This is your opportunity to be a part of this process that contributes to planning for the future of this community. You can submit your proposals to Council up until 31 January 2024:
