Lithgow City Council is pleased to announce the commencement of pavement rehabilitation and sealing works on Magpie Hollow Road. The project covers an approximately 2 km section of road located immediately before Lake Lyell Dam on Magpie Hollow Road.
The construction works will be undertaken by Gracey and Son Earthmoving on behalf of Lithgow City Council and are scheduled to commence on 10 August 2026. The project is expected to take approximately 22 weeks to complete, subject to weather conditions.
During the construction period, traffic control measures will be implemented to ensure the safety of both workers and road users. Motorists travelling through the area may experience minor delays and are advised to allow additional travel time where necessary.
These important works form part of Council’s ongoing commitment to improving the safety, durability, and reliability of the local road network for residents, businesses, and road users across the region.
