Are you interested in event management, media and communications, self-publishing, contracts, sound mixing, recording and various other aspects of the creative industry?

Lithgow Council is inviting youth from across the city to participate in a creative skills project. Create Lithgow is a creative development project for young people who want to work together and make things happen in the creative industries. This will be a hands on, fun journey, where you will be discussing your projects and improving your creative skills alongside talented mentors and local professionals working in the industry.

If you are between 12 or just about to turn 25 years old, Lithgow City Council invites you to develop the skills to run your own show and make positive change in our community. At the end of the series of workshops, you will have a certificate of competency and a recommendation directly from your mentors.

If you join the Create Lithgow, Young Changemakers program, you will be planning:

  • Open mic events at the Union Theatre.
  • Tiny Desk Concerts at the Youth Drop in Space
  • Lithgow Youth Week

Come meet and greet at our first “brainstorming gathering”

When: Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September
Time: 10.30 am to 4.30pm
Where: Youth Drop in Space at Maldhan Ngurr Nurra Lithgow Transformation Hub (Corner of Mort & Bridge Streets Lithgow)

Lunch and afternoon tea provided.

These brainstorming gatherings will be followed by other workshops, with content to be led by the group’ own interests in the creative industries.
