The Model Code of Conduct for Local Councils in NSW and Procedures for the Administration of the Model Code of Conduct for Local Councils in NSW are prescribed under the Local Government (General) Regulation 2005. Councils are required to adopt a code of conduct and procedures based on the prescribed Model Code of Conduct and Procedures.
At its Ordinary Meeting of Council for 22 August 2022, Council resolved:
22-161 RESOLVED
THAT Council:
Adopt the Prescribed Model Code of Conduct for Local Councils in NSW (2020),
Maintain the cap for the value of gifts at $50:00 within the Code, and
Adopt the Prescribed Procedures for the Administration of the Model Code of Conduct for Local Councils in NSW (2020).
