Lithgow Health Expo 2026

Lithgow City Council acknowledges the Traditional owners of this land, the Wiradjuri people.
The Lithgow Health Expo will take place on 6 March 2026 and aims to promote community health, increase awareness of local services, and provide valuable information for diverse people of all ages.
The Expo will bring together health and community services as well as special guests for an informative and engaging event.
Join us to learn more about your wellbeing and the services available to you locally! Connect with professionals from a wide range of health and community services including the Local Health District (LHD) and Primary Health Network (PHN).

Session 1: 9am-11am
Welcome and Acknowledgement
Launch of the Notre Dame Health of People in Lithgow Report: The report from the University of Notre Dame Australia provides a comprehensive profile of the health of the people of Lithgow.
Hear from a panel of experts.
Kate Hurrell, CEO of Threetrees Lithgow: will share practical information about My Aged Care; navigating changes to aged care services and understanding local supports.
Special guest entertainers: The Free and Easy Band.
Session 2: 11am-12:30pm
Service NSW: Deanna Goodsell from Service NSW will guide attendees through the range of services and resources with greater ease and confidence.
Public Health Network: speakers from a range of services including
Aboriginal health checks
Disaster preparedness
Intergenerational project
Advanced care planning
Mental Health
Session 3: 1pm-3pm
Dementia Australia: will share clear, practical information about dementia, available supports, and local resources. Their presentation will highlight ways to access free education, support and guidance for navigating the dementia journey with confidence.
Seniors Rights Australia: Will highlight key rights, available protections, and where to go for help with issues such as aged care, finances, and elder abuse.

Well-being Room Schedule in the Waratah Room
10am Gentle Groove: A fun and inclusive movement session designed to help seniors improve mobility, strength and wellbeing through gentle dance‑inspired movement.
11am Seated Yoga: a gentle and accessible form of yoga designed for people of all ages and mobility levels.
1pm Falls prevention workshop: An interactive workshop designed to help participants understand the risks of falls and learn practical strategies to stay safe at home and in the community.
2pm Nutrition workshop: Practical guidance on healthy eating and making nutritious choices to support overall wellbeing. Eat well and stay well.
