Lithgow Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan Booking
Due to the high level of public interest for the Lithgow Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan, Council is providing further opportunity for the community to meet with Council’s flood consultant one on one to allow for landowners and interested members of the community to discuss the content of the document and what it means for them.
These sessions will be provided by appointment only. To book an appointment please contact Council on 02 63549999. These sessions will be up to 15 minutes in length and will be able to be booked, subject to availability, between 11am and 7pm Monday 3 April 2023 and 8.30am and 4.30pm on Tuesday 4 April 2023.
Special Rate Variation
Council has submitted an application to IPART for a permanent increase to land rates in accordance with the Council resolution of 23 January 2023.
The overall income from land rates will increase by a maximum of 45.7% (including a 3.7% rate peg). Council has committed to limiting any increase in the residential, farming and business (general) rating categories to 27.7% (including the 3.7% rate peg) with the balance of the SRV funds required to be levied against the business power generation sub-category, mining category and a new quarrying business sub-category or sub-categories.
