Council wishes to advise due to an incident involving one of the waste collection trucks earlier today, some properties in the Portland area will not have had their waste collected.
If you live in Portland your bins have not been emptied, please leave them on the street and another truck will collect them tomorrow (04/03/26).
The Council thanks you for your understanding during this unexpected delay.

- Lithgow Sewage Treatment Plant
- Portland Sewage Treatment Plant
- Wallerawang Sewage Treatment Plant
- Lithgow Solid Waste Facility
- Portland Garbage Depot.
This telephone line is for the purpose of receiving any complaints from members of the public in relation to the activities conducted at the premises and can be used for the reporting of sewer overflows.
