On Wednesday 17 September 2025 Lithgow City Council General Manager Ross Gurney and Mayor Cass Coleman oversaw a Citizenship Ceremony held at the Union Theatre Lithgow.
The Ceremony coincides with Australian Citizenship Day 2025, an opportunity for all Australians, whether by birth or by choice, to reflect on and celebrate what’s great about being Australian
The ceremony was also attended by the Hon. Andrew Gee MP Member for Calare who addressed the new citizens and participated in the official proceedings.
In total there was 16 conferees who received their citizenships from India, New Zealand, Pakistan, UK, South Korea, United States, Hungary, Germany and Vietnam.
