On Wednesday afternoon, Mayor Cass Coleman and GM Ross Gurney joined Lithgow High School Principal, Foty Loupos, and Thales for a meeting at NSW Parliament House.
The meeting was with The Hon. Steve Whan MP, Minister for Minister for Skills, TAFE and Tertiary Education. In a joint effort, the team discussed ways to optimise the mix of skills and training services for the Lithgow LGA. Included in the conversation were opportunities for school / TAFE collaboration, resource sharing, Council’s LEEP STEAM education program and future TAFE engagement with businesses.
