A new gatehouse has arrived at the Lithgow Solid Waste Facility (LSWF) and will commence operating on Wednesday, 25 February 2026.
The new gatehouse is part of the ongoing improvements at the LSWF that are supporting waste minimisation, recycling and reuse and improving the ability to track, record and report on all waste types.
The new gatehouse will improve efficiency and the management of waste by enabling operators to talk to people while in their vehicles and to check proof of residence and waste types when entering the facility.
Each time you visit, remember to:
- Wait for the green light,
- Stop on the weighbridge,
- Have proof of residence ready, and
- Sort your load into the correct areas.
