VendorPanel (eQuotes)

Lithgow City Council is now using an eQuotes platform named ‘VendorPanel’ to simplify the way quotes are sought from Local Suppliers. VendorPanel is a web based eProcurement system used by hundreds of organisations to increase transparency and compliance in quote-based purchasing from approved suppliers.

Benefits for Suppliers

Council is now using VendorPanel to manage all quotations and local preferred suppliers. This includes a range of supplier relationships – from formally selected panels, to pre-qualified supplier lists and informal contractor pools.

Vendorpanel gives Local Suppliers an easy and consistent way to hear about quote opportunities from Council.

  • Provides a consistent RFQ format and process.
  • Simplifies management of Compliance documents for Council
  • Gives Council staff an easy way to send out quotes, increasing the chances of you hearing about contracts.
  • Allows you to manage multiple supplier lists from one account.
  • Easily download reports on all the requests you received, with a record of what you responded to.

Supplier Categories

The eQuote system allows Council Officers to request quotes from 2 types of supplier categories, LCC Panels (1) and the ‘Marketplace’ (2).

LCC Panel Category (1)

When registering with Vendorpanel, you will first need to check if your business falls into a ‘LCC Panel’ category.

LCC Panel Category Suppliers are required to upload compliance documentation (such as copies of insurance policies etc.) in order to become prequalified for quote requests.

It is also mandatory for suppliers on LCC Panels to undertake a CENTROC WHS Induction prior to carrying out work for Council. CENTROC WHS Inductions are carried out by all Councils in the Central West region. After completing the induction, attendees will be issued with a photo card.
