Construction & Demolition waste (No recyclables):

Construction and Demolition waste includes all waste from building, renovating or demolishing activities, even if the activities are undertaken in your own home.

Recyclables are materials that can be recycled in your yellow-lid recycling bin such as cardboard/paper, aluminium and steel cans, hard plastic packaging containers and glass bottles/jars.

If recyclable material is separated from Construction and Demolition waste and put into the correct recycling bins then the “Construction & Demolition waste (No recyclables)” charge shall apply.

Construction and Demolition waste (With recyclables):

If recyclable materials are not separated from Construction and Demolition waste, the “Construction and Demolition waste (With recyclables)” charge shall apply to all the waste.

Mattresses, ensembles, mattress bases and lounges (including single seats)

These items are recycled. The fee charged does not cover the whole cost of recycling but contributes towards the cost.

Lounges in good condition can be put into the Reuse Shed; however. all items brought into waste facilities are classified as waste and the fees apply.

For items in good condition, the waste facility should be a last resort and it is preferable that options for reuse outside of the waste facility are used, including resale or donation.
