Recycling Locations in Lithgow LGA
The Resource Recover Centre, Community Recycling Centre (CRC) and Reuse Shed are located within the Lithgow Solid Waste Facility.

Entry is from 8am – 4.45pm, 7 days a week.
The facility is closed on Good Friday and Christmas day.
When you arrive, please follow the traffic signals to drive onto the weighbridge.
Stop at the intercom on the weighbridge and press the button to talk to the operator.
The operator will guide you to the correct area.
Please bring proof of residence, such as a rates notice or driver licence.
Residents can dispose of domestic quantities of the following items free of charge, except for mattresses, mattresses bases, and tyres which do have a charge.
The Reuse Shed accepts items in good condition so that they can be donated to others to use and upcycle.

The Community Recycling Centre (CRC) accepts household quantities – up to 20L or 20kg – of the following items that cannot go into the red bin or landfill:
- Aerosols,
- Batteries (Car and household batteries),
- Fire extinguishers,
- Fluorescent globes and tubes,
- Gas bottles,
- Motor and other oils,
- Paint (up to 100L)
- Smoke detectors.
