Lithgow Solid Waste Facility 2025/26 Fees and Charges

Lithgow Solid Waste Facility only accepts waste generated within the Lithgow Local Government Area

Note: This facility accepts solid waste only. Domestic solid waste (excluding asbestos, mattresses and tyres) from the normal activity of a single dwelling delivered by Lithgow ratepayers or residents to this facility in a car, station wagon, utility or box trailer shall be accepted free of charge. All other solid waste including commercial, industrial and domestic delivered in a large tandem axle trailer, truck or large van shall be subject to the fees specified.

* These items include a Waste Levy of $50.00 per tonne that is used to fund resource recovery. 

Asbestos waste –  is accepted by prior arrangement only. For delivery please contact Council on (02) 6354 9999.
Liquid waste – Lithgow Solid Waste Facility does not accept liquid waste. 

 

Hazardous waste – Lithgow Solid Waste Facility does not accept hazardous waste.

Council runs an annual Household Chemical Cleanout service (typically October each year) for domestic/household chemicals. Details are posted on the Lithgow Council website prior to each collection day.
